RIGEL – Anna Marie, 87, formerly of Gramlingtown and Moxham, died May 9, 2016 at Westmont Woods.
Born Jan. 8, 1929, in South Fork, daughter of Jacob and Anna Viola (Emeigh) Bailey.
Preceded in death by parents; husband, Harry Rigel, who died in 1968; son, Larry Bailey; grandsons, Barry V. and John D. Black and John M. Goldberg; sisters, Sarah Smay and Ruby Costlow; brothers, George and Charles “Pete” Bailey; and two infant brothers.
Survived by children, Robert Bailey (Cathy), NJ; Judy Black (Barry), Johnstown; Mary Goldberg, Johnstown; Harry Rigel (Judy), Dunlo; John Rigel (Carlene) , Johnstown; Diane Rigel, Windber; and Samuel Rigel (Nancy), Johnstown; 23 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren whom she loved dearly; and sisters, Margaret Rhoads and Irene Green, both of Portage.
Anna was a seamstress at Empire Foundations in South Fork. She loved being around her family and her dog, Willow. You could often find her looking for bargains at garage sales and flea markets. She loved listening to Elvis Presley and enjoyed sewing, carpet making and weaving.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, the Rev. Robert Stultz, officiating.
Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery.
