Angela M. Smay

SMAY – Angela M., 61, Greensburg, formerly of South Fork; died October 29, 2024. Born October 30, 1962, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents, Angelo M. and Dolores M. “Toots” (Shandor) Martin; and sister-in-law, Sue Martin. 

Survived by fiancé, D.J. Honse; son, Cliff “B.J.” engaged to Lori Magnelli; daughter, Amy Smay-Norfolk, wife of Odess Hionis; grandson, Roczen Norfolk; brother, Rick Martin; and former husband, Bud Smay. 

She helped operate the former Family Tree Restaurant in South Fork, was a teller for Ameriserv Bank, and worked for the Long Barn II. Her houseplants were always lush and green, she loved listening to live music and attending concerts, but her heart was always fullest around her grandson. She was not just a mother and friend; she was the best we could have ever hoped for. And one of the strongest people anyone had ever met. 

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, South Fork, Father Jerzy Auguscik, OFM Conv., celebrant.
