ROSEMAS – Allen C., 71, Haralson, Georgia; formerly of South Fork, Pennsylvania; passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Newnan Piedmont Hospital, Newnan, Georgia; surrounded by his loving family. Born June 26, 1949, in Johnstown, son of the late Leo M. and Dorothy L. (Ofsanko) Rosemas.
Survived by wife, Bonita (Bracknell) Rosemas, Haralson, Georgia; children, Jo Lynn, wife of John Whited, Senoia, Georgia; Heather, wife of Navy Chief Thomas Spears, San Diego, California; Alan Rosemas, St. Petersburg, Florida; Amber Locke, Oregon; and Samantha, wife of Danny Gomez, St. Augustine, Florida; grandchildren, Tynsley Whited, Senoia, Georgia; and Mason, Jacob, and Thomas Jr. Spears, San Diego, California; sister, Marissa Rosemas, wife of Daniel Chubski, Johnstown, Pennyslvania; and aunts and uncles, Shirley "Babe" Gossard, Frederick, Maryland; Richard Ofsanko, Johnstown; Mike (Joyce) Ofsanko, Johnstown; and Marie (Robert) Plish, Johnstown.
Allen was a graduate of Triangle Area High School, class of 1967. US Army combat veteran of the Vietnam War having served as a “Tunnel Rat” in the underground battlefields of the Vietcong’s Cu Chi tunnels. He retired in 2007 as Fulton County Police Captain after 35 years of public service. He was a gracious man who was devoted to helping others. He enjoyed swimming, fishing, working on his six acres, and spending time with family and friends.
