Alice M. McGinty

McGINTY – Alice M., 89, St. Michael, died July 10, 2019, at Rose of Sharon, St. Michael. Born July 18, 1929, in Croyle Township, daughter of George and Thelma G. (Costlow) Huff. Preceded in death by parents; and husband, Joseph P. “Irishman” McGinty, who died March 17, 2010; brothers, George Jr., and Kenneth; and sister, Sarah Kostan.

Survived by son, Joseph E., married to Connie (Shockey), Richland; daughter, Bridget C., wife of Rickie Turner, St. Michael; granddaughter, Melissa H. wife of Michael Grose, Hollsopple; grandson, Shawn P. McGinty married to Lisa (McFarland), Cranberry Township; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Nicholas, and Aidan. Sister of: Connie (Joseph) Kostyk, St. Michael; Peter, North Carolina; and Emma (Gene) Miller, Sidman.

Alice worked for the Jolly Roger, Country Kitchen, and McDonald Plating, then retired from Forest Hills School District as a cook. Some of the best memories were those of her spending time with family and friends at Camp Hartly in Bedford.
