JORDAN – Alan Richard, 70, Dunlo, died October 14, 2016 at home. Born July 4, 1946, in Lewistown, son of John F. Jr. and Marian G. (Krebs) Jordan. Preceded in death by parents; and sister, JoNelle K. Jordan.
Survived by sons, John, married to Catherine (Jones), Richland; and Jeramie, Dunlo; and former wife, Lori P. (Malzi) Smith, Seward.
Alan was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War having been awarded two Purple Hearts and the Army Commendation Medal . He was a member of Dunlo American Legion Post 571 and was a graduate of Pennsylvania Military College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history. For many years he taught classes at Mount Aloysius College, the former Cambria County Community College and also adult education classes at Greater Johnstown Vo-Tech.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. Monday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, the Rev. Earl Butterfield officiating.
Inurnment at a later date at Lind Memorial Cemetery , Lewistown.
Military service by St. Michael American Legion Post 551.
