Agnes M. Wicks

WICKS – Agnes M., 94, Johnstown, passed away peacefully November 10, 2023, at home, surrounded by family. Born March 22, 1929, in Franklin Boro, daughter of Edward J. and Stella (Stawiarz) Morascyzk. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Robert E. Wicks, who died September 12, 1993; infant daughters, Pamela and Dianne Wicks; grandson, Mark Wicks; and brothers, Melvin and Edward Morascyzk.

Survived by sons, Robert Wicks (Cheryl Rively) and Gerard Wicks (Lucy Fritz); daughters, Kathleen Moss (Gerald) and Sharon “Dodie” Wicks; grandchildren, Michael Grow (Jessica), Roger Grow (Kelsey), Melissa Legros (Mitch), Christopher Moss (Stacy), Lisa Wirfel (Travis), Joshua Wicks (Megan), Michael McGinty (Dawn), and Brian McGinty (Kris); fifteen great grandchildren; sisters, Florence “Bobbi” Fisher and Dolores “Tommy” Sewak; and brother, John Morascyzk.

Agnes was a graduate of Franklin Boro High School, class of 1947. Former Mrs. Johnstown and Mrs. Pennsylvania 1952. A member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She worked for A & P, Riverside, and retired from Giant Eagle.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. Committal, South Fork Cemetery.
