Lucy F. Reese

REESE – LUCY F., 79, Mount Hope, died October 26, 2023. Born August 30, 1944, in Croyle Township, daughter of Wilber and Inzie (Chappel) Penrod. Preceded in death by parents; son, Eric; sisters, Regina Krawjeski, Ruby Rice, Phyllis Karam, and Esther Gerber; brothers, Earl, Harold “June,” and Fred; and infant brothers, Ronald, Donald, Samuel, and Lowell.

Survived by loving husband, Jack W. Reese; son, Darrin, married to Sarah (Ellis); daughter, Tina, wife of Charles Teno; beloved grandchildren, Kendra Reese, Michael Teno, and Natalya Teno; sister, Nancy Szwast; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lucy was a member of Mount Hope Community Church. Together with her husband, she helped operate Reese’s Exxon Gas Station, Mount Hope. She cherished spending time with relatives and friends at the family camp, “Penrod Beach.” She enjoyed ceramics, gardening, and scrapbooking; and family gatherings were always made special by her amazing efforts to prepare wonderful meals, celebrations, and time together.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

Visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at Mount Hope Community Church, the Reverend Joseph Stains, presiding.

Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery.
