HENRY – James A., 93, New Germany, died peacefully on Good Friday, April 15, 2022, at home surrounded by loving family. Born April 25, 1928, in Mineral Point, son of Frank Sr. and Agnes (Schrader) Henry. Preceded in death by parents; beloved wife, Ruth (Wirfel) Henry, who died February 11, 2016; son-in-law, Thom Dolan; brothers, John, Frank Jr., and Charles; and sister, Genevieve Marhefka.
Survived by children, Carol, wife of Richard Brown, Cessna; Diane Dolan; Joann, wife of Timothy Kapustka; Sharon, wife of Michael Pasierb; and James J., engaged to Gerri Koller, all of New Germany; and Janice, wife of Chris Rusin, Vintondale; sister, Audrey Wirfel, New Germany; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; another on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Germany. Graduate of Conemaugh High School, class of 1946. He was a retired electrician from Bethlehem Steel Corp., Car Shop Division and a partner in the former C & H Used Cars, Conemaugh. Jim especially enjoyed spending time camping and boating with family and friends at Lake Raystown. He also enjoyed gardening, was a great cook, loved to hunt and fish, and could circle about the dance floor to any polka. Though he fell asleep in this world, he has awakened in Heaven. Not only does he live in the presence of God now, he has rejoined those loved ones who went before him and whom he has longed to see again.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Father Joseph C. Nale, Celebrant.
