David A. Costlow

COSTLOW - David Allen, 60, South Fork, passed away June 11, 2023, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital. Born November 20, 1962, in Johnstown, son of John Sr. and Ruby (Bailey) Costlow. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, Cathy (Shawley) Costlow; granddaughter, Katelyn; brother, James Costlow; and sister, Judith Ann Csamer.

Survived by wife, Linda (Paxton) Costlow, Johnstown; children, Melody Steele, South Fork; Jacob Smithbower, Florida; George A. Smithbower Jr. and his wife, Donna, Florida; and James Warner, Philadelphia; grandchildren, Aylise, Desiree, Sierra, Cameron, and Nicky; sisters, Maryann Kilpatrick, Utah; Bonnie MacEwan, Salix; and Pamela Alhborn, South Carolina; and brothers, Kevin Costlow, South Carolina; and John Costlow, Tennessee.

He enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes, going to the casino, and working as an auto mechanic. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the South Fork American Legion. As a final gift, David donated his Kidneys so that others might live.
