Betty J. Betz

BETZ – Betty J., 76, South Fork, died November 22, 2023, at home. Born January 17, 1947, in Johnstown, daughter of the late John W. and Verdeane M. (Jenkins) Kaufman.

Survived by husband of 58 years, Kenneth J. Betz; daughters, Tina (Tim Byrnes); Tammy (Melvin Poborsky); Kimberly Betz; and Kristine (Kevin Heinlein); ten grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and sisters, Patricia (James A. Gay); Melinda Coffin; Roberta Kaufman; and Rowena “Rona” (George Gillin). Graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1965. Longtime assistant manager of the former Howard Johnson; she retired from Pizza Hut after 25 years of waitressing. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles; and cherished time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Honoring her wishes there will be no public visitation or services.
